Description:
Built in the 1770's, this farmhouse was the home of Jacob Rice, a Selectman as early as 1770, and later a deacon in the Congregational Church.
Later owners were: George G. Rice; (1849) Arnold Merrill; (1852) Lucinda Sturtevant; (1865) Cynthia Bailey, wife of Frank C. Bailey; (1876) Frank C. Bailey, cigar-maker. Now owned by Mrs. Harold Bailey, daughter-in-law of Frank C. Bailey, who has occupied the house since 1918.
